Starting to get some color...

Species Information:
Poecilotheria formosa is a somewhat uncommon pokey native to India. They supposedly have purple highlights which distinguish them from others of their genus. They're fast and can be defensive, and like all the pokeys, can inflict a painful bite. Not a beginner's spider by any stretch.

Feeding:
She takes full sized crickets now.

Housing:
I've moved her into one of my standard 5.5 gallon arboreal enclosures..

She's constructed a retreat similar to the other pokeys. A mass of webbing covered in substrate behind the cork bark, combined with some burrowing.

I try to keep the humidity around 70-80%. It's usually about 80-82°F in my spider room, where it is kept. Because it's still really too small for a water dish, humidity is maintained by misting and moist substrate.

 Arboreal 5.5 gallon setup.
This is her current residence.

Temperment:
HE's quite fast, like all the pokes and seems to be the most defensive of all of them as well. He's gone into a threat posture before, but is mostly just shy.
