Ambush (brachyplema albopilosum)...

Ambush in her new home
Ambush adjusts to her new home.
  Another picture of Ambush
She's camera shy.

Ambush peeking out of her burrow
It seems like this is all I ever see of her.
  Nude ascending a staircase
This picture was taken through the window into her burrow. She's sorta resting on her staircase. This is probably her favorite spot in her burrow - she spends hours resting here. The black area at the top is dirt above the window, and the distortion at the bottom is the curve in the plastic at the bottom of the cage.

Ambush near a molt, and near death
Sadly, this is one of the last pictures you'll see of Ambush. She died only a few short days after this picture was taken.

It's dinner time!

A tasty cricket killed just moments ago
This is the first in a series of pictures that were taken a couple minutes after the cricket was first captured.
  Munch, munch, munch
Ewww! Now I know why she hides in her burrow to eat.

I've got three forks... Which one is for the cricket course?
That may be how you eat in Honduras, but not around here, pal! Where are your table manners! I don't see a napkin anywhere!
  External digestion - novel!
She didn't get in a good pose after a second cricket until it was mostly digested. She really licks her plate!
