  P. rufilata #2
I can't wait until they get big!

Species Information:
This species of Poecilotheria native to India is rarely bred in the US and I feel lucky to have some. They're the largest of the pokeys and supposedly the most communal (I'm not going to test that though). IMNSHO, they are also the prettiest.

Feeding:
Medium crickets are the fare. They're tough little buggers and will accept oversized prey.

Housing:
These spiders live in medium sized pet-pals set on end. The substrate is about an inch and a half of peat/vermiculite. There's a piece of cork bark for climbing.

I try to keep the humidity around 70-75%. It's usually about 80-84°F in my spider room, where they are kept. Because they're still really too small for a water dish, humidity is maintained by misting and moist substrate.

A small amount of webbing has been done in each cage.

Temperment:
They're speedy spunky little demons. Feistier than other small pokeys I've worked with. They should live up to their reputation as speed demons when they grow up as well.
  Don't do this...
They sometimes run up my arm or something when I'm taking pictures.
